Bonds Badges - We offered an online workshop to support families knowing more about our Bonds Badges where the recording has been shared with Ivy Bank families. These badges start in EYFS2 and we aim to achieve them by the end of Year 2, but recognise some children will continue in Year 3. Learning these key instant recall facts makes addition and subtraction in our head easier, supports classroom learning and is a great life skill. The video illustrates that number bonds are pairs of numbers added together to make a new number. They are sometimes called Key Instant Recall Facts because they are really important for quick mental addition. When learning number bonds, it is easy to see patterns in the pairs so they can also be called 'number pairs' or 'number partners'.
