The Owlery (Resource Provision)
Welcome to the Owlery!
We are a Resource Provision for pupils with Autism. We call ourselves ‘The Owlery’. Every pupil has a personalised learning programme which allows them to either learn in the Owlery classroom or in their mainstream year group for a minimum of 40% each week.
We aim to provide a stable, happy and calm environment which allows all children to reach their full potential.
Learning
In addition to a differentiated national curriculum and pre-national curriculum, we offer an exciting range of additional opportunities which are crucial for the all-round development of the autistic learner:
In the Owlery, a variety of evidence-based initiatives and approaches are used to maximise the development of your children, including:
Staff Team
We are proud and privileged to have a happy, highly skilled and experienced staff team shared over our 2 classrooms: Barn Owls and Tawny Owls.
Our Teaching Assistant team strategically support Mrs. Warrington with your children’s learning. They ensure that your children make progress and have enormous fun on a daily basis.
The TA team:
Miss Arrowsmith, Mrs. Doherty, Mrs. Henderson, Mr. Guy, Mrs. Jackson, Miss O’Grady, Mrs. Sherratt and Miss Warren.
Communication
We love being in touch with our Owlery families, whether it is face-to-face, via telephone, email or through Tapestry Cherry Garden.
Tapestry Cherry Garden allows us to share photos of what your children are doing every day at school and offers you the opportunity to share with us the lovely activities that you do at home. The children take great delight in sharing these photographs with us, creating wonderful communication opportunities.
Tapestry Cherry Garden is also used as our assessment tracking tool to track your child’s progress clearly and effectively.
